“Weightless — Tracing Landmarks” relates photography, landscape, and architecture through experience as a moment of capturing and revealing places, functioning as an atlas of new landmarks, in a travel cycle that lasted approximately four years, between 2016 and 2020, in a territory circumscribed around the Arctic Circle (parallel of latitude 66º 33’ 44’’).
Iceland, Norway, Svalbard Archipelago, and the Faroe Islands define the geographical area. The revealed places are symbolic in a certain way and it is possible to verify their existence in situ, conferring a certain degree of reality on the generated metaphor.
The landscapes portrayed are quasi-abstract. Geo-reference and contextualize by country, allowing a more particular reading of each landscape, without losing the general reading. The choice, to a certain extent symbolic and unconscious, was initially defined according to parameters related to the relationship established between the construction and the landscape: country, materiality, scale, shape, location, and concept.
